How does it work in practice?
An authorised trader provides the required movement and goods data and ensures the carrier receives references needed for the port process.
The trader determines the movement route, eligibility, EORI identifiers and declaration route before providing references to the carrier. TSS, GVMS, CDS, NCTS or ICS2 may support different parts of the movement.
